Scandinavia Design offers a wide selection of furniture, including both classics from the golden age of Scandinavian design furniture and contemporary pieces from around the world. All share the same values of quality, durability and honesty.

Founded in 2007 by two enthusiasts, Scandinavia Design has become one of the world's leading specialists in Scandinavian design furniture.

We know the characteristics, the materials and the designers inside out.

We know exactly how to pack each piece and send it to the other side of the world if necessary.

Our site is not a classic e-commerce site, where you consult standardised product sheets selected by a system of keywords.

Because it makes no sense to present a sofa and a toothbrush in the same way, an armchair and a cushion, a table and a cup.

Here, each piece of furniture is presented in a personalised, tailored way.

So you can get the best idea possible.

The furniture is organised into families.

To furnish your dining room or kitchen, explore the chairs, benches and stools, barstools and tables categories.

For the lounge area, explore the lounge chairs, sofas, coffee tables and poufs categories.

For the home office: desks and office chairs.

You'll also find outdoor furniture for the garden, beds for the bedroom, as well as wall shelves, storage furniture and children's furniture.

Some of these categories are very broad, so we've divided them up.

For example, tables are divided into square and rectangular tables, round and oval tables, extendable tables and desks.

Chairs are grouped into wood legs chairs, metal legs chairs and swivel chairs.

The coffee and occasional tables have been divided into 4 categories: rounded wooden tables, angular wooden tables, rounded marble, glass, metal or laminate tables and angular marble, glass, metal or laminate tables.

Sofas have been divided into modular, non-modular and sofa-beds.

Armchairs have been grouped into wood legs lounge chairs, metal legs lounge chairs and swivel lounge chairs.

So you can explore the site without any preconceived ideas, and let yourself be surprised.

Nordic furniture accounts for around 80% of our range. The remaining 20% have been chosen for their perfect compatibility in terms of aesthetics, manufacturing quality and value.

If you have the chance, come and see us in our two showrooms.

Design furniture combines technology, art and functionality, pushing back the boundaries of the traditional with clean lines, right shapes and great attention to detail. Environmental protection is playing an increasingly important role.

Genuine designer furniture, as sold by Scandinavia Design, cannot exist without great personalities: because it takes great personalities to create designer furniture that marks its era and becomes iconic.

It also takes bold furniture designers who believe in the quality of their customers.

« good design for good people »

For a long time, two distinct design furniture traditions existed in Europe: one German-Italian and the other Nordic, dominated by Denmark 🇩🇰, Finland 🇫🇮 and Sweden 🇸🇪.

Marked by the predominance of wood and the extensive use of craftsmanship, Scandinavian design furniture dominated the world between the 1930s and the 1970s, before gradually fading into obscurity with the generation of great designers of the Golden Age.

These include Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971), Børge Mogensen (1914-1972), Alvar Aalto (1898-1976), Poul Kjærholm (1929-1980), Bruno Mathsson (1907-1988), Finn Juhl (1912-1989) and Hans J. Wegner (1914-2007).

To find out more about this rich history, we invite you to explore this page.

Because the Nordic winter is cold and austere, the Scandinavians have always favoured warm, natural materials such as wood, leather, paper cord, wool, copper and so on.

Thanks to these materials, Scandinavian design furniture is never cold and impersonal. A good piece of designer furniture should contribute to the famous hygge - a Nordic concept that refers to the feeling of joyful well-being and warm, intimate comfort that you feel in a well-furnished home.

Among these natural materials, wood, fabric and leather deserve particular attention. To learn more about them, we invite you to explore the pages we have devoted to them.

Today, Scandinavian design furniture is once again dominating the world of design. This revival is due both to the rediscovery of the treasures of the past and to a new generation of designers and publishers.

This new Scandinavian design is like an extension of the old, where everything has been reinvented to exploit new technologies and adapt to the new needs of the contemporary world.
