The question that manufacturer String furniture posed to architect Anna von Schewen and industrial designer Björn Dahlström was: is it possible to design a work environment that is as welcoming as a living room while still being perfectly functional? Their answer is a modular office system called String Works, made up of a series of modular elements designed according to the principle of the String System. It allows you to create a system perfectly suited to every need and every environment, both contemporary and classic, which can be used both at home and in a professional space. With String Works, Anna von Schewen and Björn Dahlström have exploited the ingenuity and simplicity of the String system invented by Nisse Strinning at the very beginning of the 1950s.
String Works essentially consists of a collection of height-adjustable desks and the freestanding storage system shown below, which connects to the general String System shelving system.
